May all beings everywhere be happy and free,
And may the thoughts, words and actions of our everyday lives,
contribute in some way, to that happiness and to that freedom for all
When I work with a client, the knowledge and wisdom from all three healing modalities inform my guidance of their health journey. The structure of each session, is however, based either around kinesiology or reflexology.
Yoga guided me through marriage, 2 pregnancies, natural births and motherhood.
My alternative healing journey began in the year 2000 when I attended my very first yoga class at the age of 25 at the Sivananda school of yoga in Westcliff. I had never experienced anything so pure, peaceful and whole and knew that I needed to learn more. Yoga guided me through marriage, 2 pregnancies, natural births and motherhood, and in 2013 when my children were just 9 and 7, I did my first 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training through Living Yoga. That same year I became co-owner of Maitri yoga studio in Northcliff. In 2018 I did my second 200-hour teacher training with Natalie Botha. In 2019 we moved the studio to my home in Fairland.
Yoga is the central pillar in my life. It keeps me honest, humble and has helped me to be the best version of myself.
My daughter was my inspiration to become a reflexologist as she had suffered with digestive issues and eczema since a baby.
As my children got older and I had more time to myself, I decided in 2018 to enrol in a 2-year Therapeutic Reflexology Diploma course with IARMAT. It was another incredible journey of self-discovery, and I qualified cum laude early in 2020, before the world was thrown into chaos. My daughter was my inspiration to study as she had suffered with digestive issues and eczema since a baby. At 10 she was my very first case study and today, 7 years later still receives regular treatments and is a thriving young lady.
I love the simplicity of a reflexology treatment and always feel very humbled when working on a client’s feet.
I have been involved with kinesiology since the age of 25 and feel like I have come a full circle now by becoming a practitioner.
Juggling family and work is a skill and like any skill, once mastered, inspires you to learn more. And so, in 2024 I enrolled to study kinesiology at the Johannesburg kinesiology College of Holistic healing. Kinesiology was an old friend that I became acquainted with in 2000 at the age of 25. Life had other plans for me then, so I didn’t complete my studies. 25 years later I feel like I have come full circle. I have completed my level 1 International PKP practitioner certification, and plan to complete the level 2 Diploma course next
